Dr. Daniel L. Hafendorfer, MD, AAFP, ACPE    President, CPLA, Inc. and CRRG, Inc.


Dr. Hafendorfer co-founded CARE Professional Liability Association in October 2003. He received his undergraduate degree and his medical degree from the University of Louisville. Dr. Hafendorfer practiced family medicine for over 30 years and is board certified by the American Academy of Family Medicine.


He began his insurance career as a medical advisor, with a particular interest in risk management. Dr. Hafendorfer has also served as a medical expert in the evaluation of medical liability claims.


Dr. Hafendorfer has served his community as a school board President, a charitable foundation President, a university housing corporation President, as Associate Professor at the University of Louisville School of Medicine as well as being active in the Boy Scouts and Little league baseball. He has authored a book about genealogy and has lectured for various pharmaceutical companies both in the US and internationally. Dr. Hafendorfer is married and has three sons.



Dr. Robert G. Pope, M.D.    Chairman of the Board


Dr. Pope is a seasoned medical professional with extensive experience in health care and health promotion strategies. Dr. Pope is presently a national Medical Director for Humana, working on special projects for the company. He has held a number of executive management positions with health benefit companies and managed health care organizations such as United Health Group, Blue Cross\Blue Shield of Kentucky and the Metropolitan Life Insurance Company. He began his career in medicine in 1978 as a general Internist and was in private practice for 10 years.


Dr. Pope has had responsibility for performance of medical management and quality improvement initiatives, actively participated in physician education and physician data sharing, and implemented strategies to improve the overall quality of care.


Dr. Pope is a graduate of the University of Kentucky and holds a Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Louisville. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
